Practising Radio

Radio station

We got to put all of what we learnt into practice and pretend we were doing our own little show. One person got to sit at the studio desk and then the other got to sit by one of these microphones on the other side of the desk and just have a chat to see what it was like to talk and hear themselves and just how it was. It was fun to do and i enjoy putting these things into practise and testing what it is like.

Camera work for interview VT

Camera Work

In the session today we learnt how to set up the camera for a shoot, so that is all the camera setting, getting it on the tripod and sorting out the ISO, aperture and the shutter speed and doing the white balance. As I studied photography back at GCSE and A-Level i knew how to do most of these thing and knew what they all did, but it was nice to get a reminder anyway. This session also include only using natural lighting as the source of light for the subject we were filming. In our groups one of us had to pretend to be interviewed and another had to pretend to be an interviewer but we all had to make sure we had a hand in lighting up the subject properly and so it wasn’t only the one person on camera doing all the work.
